Eastwood Farm in Kent is a striking example of contemporary design woven seamlessly into a traditional rural vernacular. Designed by Morton Scarr Architects and delivered by Atlant Living, the five-bedroom, five-bathroom home is filled with natural light through a combination of vertical and overhead glazing.
The design features pitched roofs and a low profile to retain the aesthetic of a local farm building whilst incorporating contemporary, high-quality materials such as bespoke zinc cladding, bronze panels, and expansive glazing to create a modern, elegant and light-filled atmosphere. The home’s timber and steel frame construction, paired with brick and zinc finishes, required meticulous attention to detail to bring the architect’s vision to life.
Central to the design’s success was the specification of our Neo Rooflights. Chosen for their sleek, edge-to-edge design that sits flush with the zinc roofline, channel daylight deep into the interiors, including the dramatic double-height family bathroom. Four Neo Rooflights were specified in total, among them a motorised Neo Studio Designer solution. The final rooflights comprised on two Neo 10 units, one Neo 13 unit and the Neo Studio Designer 21. Their careful integration brings light, warmth, and ventilation, demonstrating how refined detailing and premium materials can transform a home from purely functional to truly exceptional.

This gallery would showcase the zinc-clad roof, double-height spaces, sleek Neo Rooflights and the harmony between contemporary materials and rural architecture.
‘The advantage of the Neo Rooflight is its minimal appearance from the outside and how they blend-in with the overall design. In someways they are not even noticeable from the outside, but inside they make a dramatic impact letting light into spaces that don’t have external windows or doors.’

Surrounded by the natural beauty of Kent, Eastwood Farm is a striking example of how contemporary design can blend seamlessly with a traditional rural vernacular. This newly built, five-bedroom, five-bathroom home, featuring open-plan living, a cinema room and a spiral wine cellar, showcases innovative design and precise construction.
Delivered by Atlant Living, experts in luxury residential construction, and designed by Morton Scarr Architects, the site was transformed by the demolition of an old bungalow, replacing it with a modern family retreat flooded with natural light.
The design features pitched roofs and a low profile to retain the aesthetic of a local farm building whilst incorporating contemporary, high-quality materials such as bespoke zinc cladding, bronze panels and expansive glazing to create a modern, elegant and light-filled atmosphere. The home’s timber and steel frame construction, paired with brick and zinc finishes, required meticulous attention to detail to bring the architect’s vision to life.
Atlant Living provided end-to-end construction services, from groundwork and foundations to interior fit-out. The complex build included challenging details such as custom zinc fabrication, precision metalwork and the integration of large glazing panels.
Central to the design’s success was the specification of our Neo Rooflights. The sleek, minimalist design with edge-to-edge glazing sits flush to the roof and floods the property with natural light, including the double-height family bathroom.
In total, four Neo Rooflights were specified, including a Neo Studio Designer with motorised opening. This creates beautiful light and a natural source of warmth as well as providing ventilation to the property.
The Neo Rooflights’ low external profiles allow them to sit flush into the zinc-clad roof, maintaining the clean, understated appearance of the property’s exterior. Inside, their impact is transformative, bringing light into key areas and enhancing the home’s open, airy atmosphere.
Atlant Living’s experience with installing Neo Rooflights ensured smooth preparation and installation, complementing the project’s exacting standards.
Eastwood Farm is a masterclass in innovative design and expert construction. The inclusion of Neo Rooflights exemplifies how thoughtful detailing and high-quality materials can elevate a project from functional to extraordinary.
