Classic Sizes

  • Meets requirements for the roof window to meet 'Requirement B1: Means of warning and escape' wheninstalled in accordance with building regulations.
  • Suitable for roof pitches between 17.5° and 65°.
  • For installation into roof pitches below 17.5°, please get in touch with our team.
  • The casement opens up to 60° meeting the minimum opening requirements of 450mm wide and 450mm high, with an openable area at least 0.33m2.
  • The Conservation Egress Access Rooflight range is conformity marked in accordance with EN14351-1.

The Conservation Egress Access Rooflight has been designed to comply with the general provisions paragraph 2.10 (sub-sections ai, aii & d) of The Building Regulations Part B1. The details of this are shown below:

  • Provide an unobstructed openable area that is at least 0.33m²
  • Meeting minimum dimension requirements of 450mm high × 450mm wide
  • The bottom of the openable area should not be more than 1100mm above the floor. The designer and installer hold responsibility for ensuring the rooflight is installed at the correct height.

To truly protect our nation’s heritage buildings, the details around the installation are just as important as the rooflight itself. This may mean, it may be more appropriate to use lead soakers around the jambs of the rooflight for absolutely authenticity.

In situations where this level of detail is not essential, our flashing kit options will provide you with everything you need for a successful installation. Where appropriate, code 4 lead is supplied for the cill flashing and soakers.
The head flashing is a lead-free waterproof flashing material. Each of our three available options have been tailored through our years of experience in achieving the optimum installation process no matter the site circumstances.
